SNOMED CT for Clinicians

These courses are online, and focused on specific problems. They are short enough to do in an hour or two so you don't need to commit to a long course. There are many courses in the series each based around a workplace issue.

Clinicians recording data in health records, or using the data in these records need to understand the codes used to support computerisation of the meaning intended in a record. They should also understand the requirements for quality representation and how this impacts the design of the health record and clinical decision support information. Clinicians are responsible for patient care and need to be responsible for the information which supports that care. The record is no longer the inanimate legal record, it is the source of handover, decision support, and ongoing care information - and this information must be accurate.
